28 June – 4 July

28 June – 4 July

There are some who find the idea of atonement by blood sacrifice repulsive; so this week’s prayers are about what the blood of Jesus has done for us who believe. They are written by Sam Adjepong.

June 28 – “In fact, according to the Law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness” Hebrews 9:22.

Father, thank You that through the blood of Jesus we have been justified – made right with You because of our faith in the Lord Jesus – He accomplished all this for us (Romans 5:9).

We have been saved from Your wrath through Jesus who has paid the penalty for our sins, and we are therefore under no condemnation. Hallelujah, the price has been paid in full once and for all. We are forever grateful for the efficacy for the blood of the Lamb of God.

We pray today for fresh insight and understanding in this whole area, and that we as a church will effectively preach and teach these great truths in person and online, and minister so others are led also into salvation and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. Amen

June 29 – “In Him [Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace” Ephesians1:7.

We have been redeemed, bought back from a life lost in sin – ransomed by the blood of Jesus. We have been forgiven and released from the grip of sin, death and Satan – Hallelujah!

Thank You Father for all the spiritual blessings and divine privileges that You have given us in and through Christ. We have been chosen, adopted, and forgiven – all because of the blood of Jesus.

The blood of Jesus has said it all and there is nothing further to be said by man, woman, young adult, young person and child but to receive its benefits by faith with thanksgiving. Lord Jesus, Your body was given as a sacrifice and Your blood was shed for us. Lord we remember and worship. Thank You!

We pray that as we minister that You will protect each one of us from the attacks and strategies of Satan – he hates it when we pray and speak about these truths. In the mighty name of Jesus our Redeemer. Amen

June 30 – “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love in whom we have redemption through His blood the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14.

Through the blood we have been justified, redeemed and forgiven. Thank You, Lord Jesus, that we are reconciled to the Father through Your blood shed at the cross. We praise Your glorious name and rejoice in such amazing grace.

Help us today to be a people of reconciliation, forgiving each other and loving one another by the power of your Spirit. Not unto us Lord, but unto You be all glory and honour. In Jesus’ name. Amen

July 1 – “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanses us from all sin” I John 1:7.

Thank You, Lord Jesus that You died in our place and made atonement for our sins. You bore our sins on the cross so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. Cleansed from all our sins by your precious blood.

Your love is so amazing – it demands our souls, our lives and our all. Help us to live our lives today to please you in every way and surrender our lives without reservation. Break us, mould us, fill us with Your Spirit and word, and make us fit for Your worship and service – we pray. Amen.

July 2 – “For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him [Jesus], and through Him to reconcile everything to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross” Colossians 1:19-20.

In Christ, we have the promise that if we will give thanks in all circumstances and pray about everything – then the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Father, in this hour of uncertainty and stress, help us to set our eyes and minds on Christ Jesus, the Prince of Peace. The peace that the world cannot give has been made through the blood of Jesus. Love without measure and mercy so free has come from You, Father, and we bow the knee today to praise Jesus’ glorious name. Amen

July 3 – “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation” Ephesians 2:13-14.

We have boldness to enter the Holiest, the throne room of the Almighty God by the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah!

Thank You, Lord Jesus for this amazing truth. We can draw near with awe and with true hearts in full assurance of faith to receive help in time of need. We say, ‘our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven – for the glory of Your name.

Lord, when Your name is hallowed, Your Kingdom coming and Your will being done on earth – then people, families, communities, regions and nations are transformed into places of grace, favour, love, harmony, peace, righteousness and joy in and through Christ Jesus. All of this takes place because of the reconciliation and peace which the reign and rule of Christ establishes.

When Your name is hallowed, Your Kingdom coming and Your will being done on earth – then Jesus is lifted high, darkness is overcome by light, sins power broken by the blood of Jesus, the Gospel of salvation preached and lived out to and before many, and many are brought together in a new relationship of love, fellowship and peace.

We pray for such a great anointing upon Telford Elim, everyone in it in person and on all those joining us online, so we are a church that sees multitudes won for Christ, discipled, and released to be disciple-makers living to love and serve the Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

July 4 – “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” Revelation12:11.

There is power in the blood of Jesus. Thank You Father that through the blood of Jesus we have been justified just as if we never sinned. We have been forgiven, cleansed, redeemed, we have peace with You, and access into Your presence. Hallelujah, what amazing grace.

We are Your children and recipients of Your unconditional love in and through Christ. Thank You Jesus – for Your blood shall never lose its power. Lord Jesus, as we walk with You, we learn what it is to walk in victory; as we worship and witness and serve – Your Spirit enables us to win and disciple souls – and we gain a steel-like strength which enables us to stand for You in all and every circumstance.

We pray that because of our church, in person and online, many people will be able to stand and testify to the truth of these words: Jesus saves to the uttermost all who come to God through Him. Blessing and honour and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne and to the LAMB forever and ever. Amen.
