Daily Prayers 27 March – 2 April

The Prayer Letter this week is on Receiving the Life the Lord Jesus offers.

Mar 27 – Father, thank You for the absolute gift of Your Son. This week as we pray we declare that You have held nothing back, in Him, which will hinder our salvation. You have given everything necessary for us to have been saved from sin, self and Satan, to be being saved each day, and to be saved – I have been saved, I am being saved, I will be saved.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of Your peace. It is a peace that transcends our understanding, a peace the world cannot give, a peace that flows from You to us.

We pray for Otium Sanctum – the holy rest and peace of soul. Richard Foster, ‘Otium Sanctum – “holy leisure.” It refers to a sense of balance in the life, an ability to be at peace through the activities of the day, an ability to rest and take time to enjoy beauty, an ability to pace ourselves.’

Lord, may that peace become the hallmark of Telford Elim Community Church. Amen

Mar 28 – Lord Jesus, You are the Propitiation for our sins – that is, You turned away God’s wrath thereby opening the way for a relationship of peace with Father God through our faith-union to You. We are humbled by this aspect of the Atonement.

We give You the praise, honour and glory for Penal, Substitutionary Atonement. ‘On our behalf and in our place You bore the punishment due to us on account of our sin, on the Cross, and brought us pardon and reconciliation with God in righteousness’ B Milne.

We pray for any today who are struggling under the burden of guilt or condemnation. May they turn to You and experience the True Life of Freedom You said would be the hallmark of those set free by You. Amen

Mar 29 – Lord Jesus, Your Power and authority are absolute. You have the right to use Your power as Your perfect will dictates.  All authority belongs to You (Matthew 28:18), including all power and authority over the powers of darkness (Ephesians 1:19-23).

We pray for this power and authority to be a central foundation of our Church’s worship and ministry. May we be completely submissive to it, completely consumed by it, and completely engulfed in its truth each and every day. Amen

Mar 30 – Lord Jesus, Your Purposes are absolutely above reproach and are a revelation of all You are as Messiah/Christ.

As Prophet, You spoke Words of Life to us thus dispelling our ignorance and lack of knowledge concerning God’s will; yet, You were also the very Word of God Himself. Your words not only come as revelation but also impart Your very nature of eternal being – the great I AM.

As Priest, You represent us to God, act as our Mediator bridging the gulf between humanity and God by building a redemptive bridge, and are our great Kinsman-Redeemer taking our human flesh in the Incarnation ‘and acting on our behalf to save us from the curse and dominion of sin’ B Milne.

You are also the Regal Lord and King in the line of David. The King of the Kingdom of God who came to establish the rule of God among people including vanquishing the power of sin and self, and powers of darkness on the Cross.

In conjunction with Your Prophetic office, may we as a church be saturated with Your life giving words; as a result of Your Priestly office, may we as a church enter fully into that place of sanctified, Spirit-led prayer ministry You command us to come to; under the authority and power of Your Kingly office, may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done here. Amen

Mar 31 – Lord Jesus, You are completely Pure. You were without sin, above reproach and completely submitted to God’s will. You desire for us to walk in purity, righteousness, justice and truth. Your very throne is established in righteousness and justice.

Lovingkindness, mercy and truth are the hallmarks of Your intervention. May we realise that it is by receiving Your life daily, in faith and humility, that opens the door to the possibility of godly purity being established among us as a sure foundation of our character and ministry.

We pray for the establishing of such godly purity throughout Telford & Wrekin. Amen

Apr 1 – Lord Jesus, Your Presence is a tangible experiential absolute truth – a revelation of Your Shekinah Glory. May there be an overflow of Your, tangible presence in my life.

As I come into Your presence, I then leave with the aroma of Your presence and love.

May Your presence fill my life and point others to You. May Your presence fill our Church, and point our town, Borough and County to You.  Amen

Apr 2 – Lord Jesus, You are the great Baptiser in the Holy Spirit; therefore, You are the initiator of Pentecostal Zeal. We pray for the establishing of a stronghold of such zeal in the life of each person who comes to our church.

May the Spirit’s fullness be an identifying hallmark of Telford Elim Community Church.

We pray for the exposing of spiritual strongholds that are not established by the Spirit, or which are not under Your Lordship.

May instead there be the establishment of streets, neighbourhoods and areas of spiritual life across Telford & Wrekin by the presence, life and ministry of Spirit-filled, mature, in character and gifting, disciples. Amen
