Daily Prayers 25 -31 January

Jan 25 – The daily prayers are taken from the church’s month of Prayer and Fasting booklet – focussed this week on Giving and Growing Together in Faith

God’s Provision – Denise Gore

Father we honour You, and give You thanks for You are our provider in all things. We want to thank You for the Hub that was added to our already wonderful building in 2020. Thank You that we were able to build it without going into any debt. We know that the building as a whole, will continue to be used to bring Christ’s light into the darkness.

Thank You for every event, meeting, service that has taken place – for those who help clean and maintain the building, bless them Father. Guide us Father, grant us wisdom and discernment as we seek to open the building up more to the community, that this will be in line with Your will and in keeping with our vision and mission.

May every single person who enters the building know that You, Jesus, are at  the heart and centre of all we do. May they leave different to how they entered because they have met with You, surrendered to You, and made You the object and focus of their lives. Amen

Jan 27 – Prayer for Divine Connections – Adeola Allinson

Heavenly Father, our King, and Lord, we pray for divine connections in our church – even as Zacchaeus connected with You on the sycamore tree; a symbol of strength, protection, eternity, and divinity.

In whatever way, help us as a church to look beyond ourselves to other’s need to connect with people You have destined for us to connect with – give us the grace, strength, and ability we need to do so well.

We pray for divine connections with our community and the people around us. We pray for that opportunity to divinely connect, give us strength and protection as we share Your life giving word.

Father Lord, we pray for You our divine Helper and the One who connects us to our destiny, the Holy Spirit, to make us one in the faith and one in love. As we   fill our lives with Your word – our faith will be absolutely dependent on You; our God, lead us to the right people to work and partner with.

Psalms 60:11, ‘Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.’ We pray that the Holy Spirit, our helper, will connect us to the right people, and the right people will locate us and be connected to us. Grace for divine connection locates us now and is always an anointing for prosperity in this New Year. Thank You, Lord, for answered prayers. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

Jan 28 – Small Group Ministry – Himat Khetia

We pray that God will give Wisdom and understanding to all the leaders of the small groups and the fellowships in the church; may God help them to lead the group in the right direction; may every group help their members grow spiritually, be connected, and be witnesses for Christ in their communities and work places.

May the fellowship in small groups grow and draw people into the kingdom of God. We pray that each member of the group will be able to stand firm even when they are going through hard times, or any persecutions. May the hearts of every member in the group be united, praying for one another letting the light of our Lord shine, and the gospel of Jesus Christ be preached to many. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Jan 29 – Men’s Ministry – Sam Adjepong

O Lord, I pray for men whose hearts are after You – who pray everywhere with lifted holy hands without wrath or doubt; I pray for men who love Your word studying, and meditating on it and mature in their understanding of it.

Father, will you raise up men, fathers, husbands, brothers and sons who fear Your name and live to please You. Grant our men and boys physical, spiritual and emotional health – to be men who are filled biblical wisdom, Your favour and anointing.

I pray particularly for our young men to be surrendered to Christ – to be connected with godly men who will keep them accountable; that they will be bold and obedient to Your call. O Lord, prosper the work of their hands as they toil to support their families.

Holy Spirit open our eyes to discern the signs of the times so we won’t be influenced by the cares of this world, but like the great men of old – we will press on to know You, Jesus, the greatest reward in life. Hallelujah. Amen

Jan 30 – Aspire Ministry – Blossom Lake

Lord God we thank You for every woman in Aspire, and we pray a blessing over each that as they step into the New Year, that they will grow closer to you, Lord Jesus. You know each one with individual talents, gifting and Your call on their lives.

Lord, will you do a new thing in each of their lives, will You bless, anoint and set each apart for the glory of Your name and for Your Kingdom’s worship, witness and work.

Lord, we thank You for Aspire Live, the coffee zoom and the Aspire Vlog – will You continue to bless each, and use them to grow Your Kingdom in Telford, and all those girls and women we reach online. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Jan 31 – Seeking God with Your Whole Heart – Bernard Langford

Matthew 22:37-38, ‘Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.”’

Heavenly Father, when we come before You and then read these verses, we realise how far short we are of the gold standard/benchmark that You have set for us. Oh, how weak and pitiful our human lives are! Your Holy Spirit reveals the areas in our lives that require attention, whether they are: relationships, work, projects, hobbies, sport or the striving for financial security.

Lord we ask that You will forgive us for all the wrong motives that dominate our lives and we ask that You would be gracious to us and, allow not only    the Blood of Jesus to cleanse us from our sin(s), but also that the Holy Spirit would come and help us so that we might worship you in Spirit and in Truth.

Lord, You are worthy of all the praise and adoration we can give You. Thank You Lord that Jesus came to save us – Hallelujah! Amen
