Daily Prayers 18 – 24 January

Jan 18 – The daily prayers are taken from the church’s month of Prayer and Fasting booklet – focussed this week on Telford Elim’s Online Ministry and Social Media presence

Young Adults – Isaac Alawode

Almighty God, we pray for divine direction for all young adults as they navigate the current stages of life whether they are in education or work. In these uncertain times many look to others for approval, but You, Lord, have provided us with Your word. As it says in Psalm 119:105, ‘Your word is a lamp for my  feet, a light to my path.’

We pray for salvation for everyone who connects with our Young Adult’s ministry, and for the Holy Spirit to fill each and every young adult enabling them to have the peace that the world cannot give. Inspire them to live a life that is pure and pleasing to You, bearing good fruit that draws more into Your   kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen

This year during the Covid-19 Pandemic we have had the blessing as a church to grow an online church; this has included Sunday Services, Kids Extravaganza, Live Prayer, Live Discipleship, Live Spirituality, and Aspire Live.

Our vision for our church is that following Jesus inspires us to dream big and attempt the impossible, and our online church at Telford Elim has shown how we us as church have big dreams, and seek the impossible to grow the community of church online. Supporting church online we have a team for social media and are developing online engagement team, to allow for both connection and engagement online.

Lord God, we thank You for the blessing of online church, for every ministry that has gone online, for every member of our church that has stepped out and stepped up. Lord, we thank You for the anointing on our church, and how You changing lives each day as we proclaim Christ and your word online.

Lord God, we pray for godly wisdom, and great discernment for the teams as  they seek Your will for how to engage and connect with online church. Lord, will you grow our teams, in knowledge, and help us to train them to develop their talents and giftings for the online ministry.

Lord Jesus, our hearts desire is that many men, women, young adults, young people and children will come to know You as Lord and Saviour, and that You will continue to grow our church online and in person. Lord. hear and answer prayer. Amen

Father, we thank You that even though the world has been in lock-down – Your Word can never be locked down; Your Spirit cannot be hindered; and our prayers can never be restricted because we are seated in Heavenly places, far above all earthly restrictions and perspectives.

We ask that You would grant wisdom, initiative and skill to all involved in creating online content for Your church. Spirit of Truth, we ask You to overshadow this process so that Jesus, the Light of the World, will be   presented in an attractive way that awakens them to Life and draws them to the Lord of Life Himself. Amen

We ask You, God, to empower us in 2021 as we continue to do Your work   online. We ask for the Holy Spirit to be in each and every live broadcasts, and material posted online. The online world can be a place where many struggle to navigate often coming away feeling exhausted and disheartened.

We ask You, Lord, to reveal Yourself through all spheres of Telford Elim’s ministry online so that people may see Your glory, in Christ, shine and can turn to Him, the only one who can bring salvation and true healing for all humanity.  In His name. Amen

Jan 22 – Social Media – Rebekah Burke

Lord, we thank You  for the development of the social media channels across the Church last year, and the people these have reached. We thank You for everyone who has contributed towards content, engaged and posted on each of the channels.

God, we want every post to reflect Your church, and contain Your words. As we look to this year, Lord, guide us so we share what You want us to, and fill us   with Your Spirit to bless us with inspiration and good, God-ideas.

We also pray for the strength to be able to continue to share consistently; also we pray that our engagement online through the Social Media won’t just be at a surface level but that we will build real connections leading to real relationships and the extension of Your family online. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

Jan 23 – Giving, Serving, and Church Resources. Giving to our Church – Natalie Headley

Father, we love and adore You. Lord Jesus, You  are the Great I Am. You  provide for all our needs and we are blessed by You. Lord, we believe giving is  an act of worship to You. We believe our offering is the most visible and    tangible expression of our giving as Christians. Father, we pray that our offering practice reflects this.

We pray for softened hearts – hearts that are convicted to give generously to Your church – giving of our time, resources and money; may we excel in this grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7). As You said, Lord Jesus, ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive’ (Acts 20:35).

Father, help us to remember that resourcing Your church is vital in the mission and ministry of the church, even more so now than ever; that our giving allows  us to  continue to offer ourselves as  an  act of faith and expression of  our love for You, Almighty God. Father, Your Scriptures teach that we should, ‘“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it”’ (Malachi 3:10). In Jesus’ name. Amen

Jan 24 – Giving to and resourcing the church – Sam Adjepong

Lord, all we need is You – Your presence with us as we serve You here in and through Telford Elim. As we look at the dawn of the New Year, we thank You that You hold the future. You have brought us this far with financial resources and people. You have called a few of Your servants home to glory in 2020, and we can only praise You.

Ebenezer, thus far You have helped us. You have not finished with us – so we want to think big, cast off restraints and trust in Your unfailing love, grace and provision in Christ. Lord, open Your storehouse and grant all that we need to fulfil the vision You have given us. We first give ourselves to You and ask that You work in and through us to accomplish Your mission.

We thank You that the oil will not run dry because You always multiply what we give to You in the first place. You are able to supply all our needs according to your infinite riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord. Amen
