Day 17 – Ifeoma Ajoku, Telford Kids and Tots Extravaganza.
Heavenly Father, as we enter this month of prayer, fasting and abstinence, stir our hearts with Your passion for people. Teach us to reach out with the Gospel in boldness, compassion and courage. Help us speak of Jesus with love and clarity, and give us opportunities to connect with those who do not yet know You.
Lord, make us intentional in our mission, creative, innovative and willing to step beyond what is comfortable so that many may hear Your truth. Inspire our children, our families and our church to be lights in our communities, carrying Your message wherever we go.
Open doors in our schools, workplaces, homes and communities and open our minds to fresh vision. Show us new ideas, creative ways and Spirit-led opportunities to share Your love. We pray that many will be drawn to Jesus, encounter Your saving power, be baptised, and grow as disciples. Use us, Lord, to reflect Your heart and extend Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Day 18 – Tami Oriade, Telford Limitless Youth.
Father, Your word says to make disciples of all nations. In every setting we find ourselves, may we be ones who stay diligent to the mandate given onto us. Whether it be our home, our workplace, or anywhere You lead us. Help us to represent Christ with His word, not only that we may speak it as oracles but that we may living embodiments of Christ.
I pray that we lead with love and the heart of God as we go about this mission. In this season, many are heartbroken, in need of company and feel distant. May the Spirit of the living God come upon us to preach the good news, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives.
As many are in need of Christ, may You find them where they are. That our young people and their families in Telford and Shrewsbury may have a God-given passion and skill level in reaching out with the Good News. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Day 19 – Isaac Alawode, Telford Elim Men.
Lord, we pray, as it says in James 1, that You give us wisdom – wisdom to proclaim the Gospel. Lord, help us to be more like You within our areas of work whether paid or voluntary, so that everyone we encounter may see our good works and praise You in heaven.
Help us, God, to point towards Christ both in times of difficulty and in times of good, being shaped by the renewal of our minds to see You in all we do.
We pray for divine opportunities to reach out to others. Help us to be ambassadors for Christ following the two greatest commandments of loving You with all our heart, soul and mind, and loving our neighbours as ourselves.
We pray for authenticity when reaching out to others so that the Love of Christ is truly reflected in and through us. We pray all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Day 20 – Sam Adjepong, Telford Elim Men.
Reaching out with God’s resounding endorsement.
Father, thank You again for the privilege to come to You through our Lord Jesus, and by the Holy Spirit. Thank You for the gift of Your Son who became our wisdom, our righteousness and our redemption. You have given Him all the authority and power so we can go out in His name to make disciples.
Forgive us of our timidity and failure, and grant us a new boldness to go. Just as Jesus gave His disciples the power to go, so we ask the Holy Spirit, who is our helper and empowerer, to guide us as we go.
Lord, as we pray for our neighbours and families, help us not to miss Your divine appointments. Help us to be vigilant and intentional in all we do. As we watch and pray, we acknowledge You are the Lord of the harvest. Lord set the captives free and bring a breakthrough as we engage with our neighbours, and even those in foreign lands whom we are reaching out to. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Day 21 – Mary Olatunbosun, Telford Elim Women.
1. Pray for a fresh stirring of the Holy Spirit to help us reach out with the Gospel.
2. Pray that we will be intentionally missional in seeking the lost and sharing Christ’s love and saving grace with them.
3. Pray for courage, compassion, and sensitivity as we connect with those around us.
4. Pray for creative and innovative ways to engage our communities with the message of Christ.
5. Pray that barriers to the Gospel will be removed and doors opened for meaningful conversations.
6. Pray that our lives, words, and actions will reflect the hope and grace of Jesus.
7. Pray that many will be drawn closer to Christ through the witness of His people.
8. Pray for salvation, baptisms, and new disciples to be formed and strengthened in faith.
9. Pray that God will use us to extend His kingdom and shine His light in our communities.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
Day 22 – Charlotte Adjepong, Telford Prayer Ministry.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the Gospel — the Good News that brings hope, healing and salvation. As we enter this month of prayer, fasting and abstinence, stir our hearts with Your compassion for those who do not yet know Jesus. Help us to be intentional in reaching out, guided by Your Spirit, bold in witness, and sensitive in love.
Lord, inspire Your Church to be creative and innovative as we share the message and grace of Christ. Open our eyes to those around us — in our families, workplaces, neighbourhoods and communities — who are hungry for truth and longing for Your presence. May we be Your hands and feet, shining Your light in every place You send us.
We pray that many will be drawn to Jesus, many saved, baptised and discipled, and that all glory will be given to You alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Day 23 – Paul Watkins, Telford Elim Tech.
Father God, thank You for placing us in a generation where technology can carry Your light to places our feet may never reach.
As we continue in this time of prayer, fasting and abstinence, ignite in us a fresh passion to use digital platforms to spread Your Gospel. Help us to be creative in the online spaces we build and use, the content we create and the connections we make to spread Your word.
Father, give us wisdom to use the world of technology to draw people towards You, give us innovative ways to communicate Your love and sensitivity in reaching out to those searching for hope, behind screens and devices, for meaningful encounters that lead many to salvation, baptism, and discipleship.
Use our skills, our creativity, and our technology as instruments for Your Kingdom. Expand our vision and stretch our faith as we reach out in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Day 24 – Pastor Malcolm
The Prayers for the next 3 days are taken from Matthew 5:13-16. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Jesus Calls us, ‘The Salt of the Earth.’
Holy Spirit, would You show us the meaning of what it is to be the Salt of the Earth, especially in relation to our outreach in Telford and Shrewsbury. Just as salt could be used in many ways. I pray that you would use us to bring Glory to the Lord Jesus.
As salt was used to bring healing of wounds and medical conditions, please would You use us at Telford and Shrewsbury to bring about healing to those who are wounded, spiritually physically and mentally.
Would You help us to be as salt that preserves and prevents decay in our communities, and were people are trapped in addictions, poverty and anxiety. Thank You that Your Presence is with us wherever we go. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Day 25 – Pastor Malcolm
Lord Jesus, You called Yourself the Light of the World, and You called us the light of the world as well. You have called us to be light wherever we go, bringing Your Presence into every dark place.
We are called to bring revelation of who You are, by being Christlike, and sharing the Good News about You. Lord Jesus You tell us not to hide that light, but to tell people about You wherever we go.
We thank You, Lord, that You have placed us in Telford and Shrewsbury, and are bringing us together as ONE church to reach out into our communities with the love of Jesus. Would You help us in 2026 with creative ideas in our churches to reach young and old alike. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Day 26 – Pastor Malcolm
LORD, thank You today for calling us to be Salt and Light working together for the ‘Building of Your Kingdom.’
We want to be Salt that doesn’t lose its saltiness by being corrupted by things that go on in this world. Would You help us to live pure lives through which those around us can see the transformation that has taken place in our lives.
As we-stay focused in 2026 in reaching out to the Lost, would you be the Light that goes before us. The light that shines into every household, every workplace, so that people will be drawn to Your Light. The Light that brings new growth in our churches. For Your glory. Аmen.
Day 27 – Pastor Leslie, Telford Thrive Young Adults.
Father, thank You for every 18-30 year old who is a part of Thrive. You know their lives, situations and workplaces. We pray for wisdom, grace and favour on each one. We also pray for all in this age bracket who are a part of our church, or a member of our families or friendship circles. May each one have a deep encounter with the Lord Jesus and be able to live life doing everything in a Christ-honouring, biblically framed way. That they will be equipped for ministry which is about everything we are, equipped to do it in Christ’s service.
Faith carries the meaning of a close relationship with one whom you trust as trustworthy and true – fides. May each one step out in mission following Jesus and being Spirit-filled and empowered to witness for Jesus to the world. Amen.
Day 28 – Pastor Leslie, Telford Elim Worship.
All true praise is rooted in our spirituality. It is about reaching out to God. It is not about reaching out to a human being, but to God. Reaching up beyond ourselves, to the eternal One seated in heaven.
When the world talks about spirituality, it is not about reaching out to the Lord God, but a soulish imitation. They are open to the strategies of Satan, the base, carnal nature within, and the philosophies and ideologies of the fallen world. It is false spirituality.
True spirituality is about our deep connection with God through Christ, reaching out to Him through the ministry of God’s Spirit in the midst of His people.
All true spiritually gifted writers of psalms, hymns and songs, and composers of Christian music, help reveal who God is, draw people into thanksgiving, praise and the understanding about who He is, their need of Jesus the Saviour, and an everyday living relationship with Him in Christ, His call to be true to Christ in authenticity as a disciple.
Father, may our worship both reach out in Spirit and truth to You, and also point others to their need to reach out to You for salvation in Jesus, and to follow Him throughout all their days. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Day 29 – Pastor Leslie, Telford and Shrewsbury Safeguarding.
Father, we thank You for Sue North, or lead Safeguarding officer for both locations. Bless Sue in every way as she continues in her role. May it go well with her physically, for her soul, and in life, ministry and mission.
Thank You that Safeguarding is a foundation ministry that enables people to feel safe in church, but also gives the confidence, through our adoption of the Elim national Safeguarding policies and protocols, that we can engage with people from a secure base.
Many in the world around us do not feel safe in their lives, workplaces, study settings, neighbourhoods and communities. You call us to bring Your word and its truth into the hearts of the people around us. Empower and equip us to do so effectively.
As we think about the biblical principles that undergird our Safeguarding, grant us the knowledge, wisdom, insight and spiritual insight needed to apply these without partiality in every setting we find ourselves in. Draw many to Christ, and enable us to pastor them into green, safe pastures. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Day 30 – Pastor Leslie.
The Acts 2 Church were seeking to be continually filled by God’s Spirit bringing boldness to witness for Jesus, His power, prophetic revelation, His teaching, guidance and advocacy, and His authority into the heart of the Church.
We ask for these to be gloriously and abundantly present in our Church. May there be such an abundance of life as we are continually filled with God’s Spirit.
6:63, CSB, ‘The Spirit is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.’
Satan’s river is a river of evil – Jesus’ river is a river of life in the Holy Spirit.
Whenever we step into a situation that we know is a confrontation with the powers of darkness – we ask for the covering of the blood of Jesus, His presence and protection. Holy Spirit, guide us so we can effectively plead the merits and covering of Jesus’ blood, and prevail in the battle. Amen.
Day 31 – Pastor Leslie.
The Holy Spirit is able to lead us in prayer so we can pray effectively into every situation we will face in life, ministry and mission. If it is a confidential situation, He can teach us how to pray while keeping confidentiality. We can pray effectively into a situation without having to know any of the details.
Father, we posture our hearts in worship seeking Your direct attention, Your face. This positions us in the best possible place to face spiritual battles. We pray for Your presence to be with us as we reach out, Your guidance and anointing, Your peace ruling in our hearts and minds, throughout 2026.
Also we seek the Holy Spirit’s ongoing fullness. His power, authority and boldness as we seek to live for Jesus, and to become victorious in the battle within and with the world without.
Holy Spirit, You change situations, but will never do for us that which God calls us to do on Christ’s behalf. You expect us to do that which Jesus calls us to do. We pray for Your sanctifying grace, Your help to do the work You call us to in Telford Elim and Riversway Elim. We say yes to Your call to follow Jesus, and are prepared to step out in faith in obedience to it.
As we face some of the barriers to maturing in faith, to overcoming ‘self’ within, and to stepping out as Jesus calls us to do following Him – it is hard. That is why we need a humble attitude of the heart and mind.
We hunger and thirst for Your righteousness, we step up to engage in the battle with the spiritual darkness of the world, Satan and ‘self’ within. We humble ourselves before God, and pray for the grace and knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding to do so in Christ and in step with the Holy Spirit.
We acknowledge that the testing and establishment of the new, righteous place can be hard and long. In Christ means that You are covenant committed to us as this process happens, and will lead us forward in victory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
