Father, in this month of prayer and fasting, as we look at consecration; I pray, Holy Spirit, in the words of the song below:
‘My heart’s one desire is to be holy, set apart for You, Lord. I choose to be holy, set apart for You, my Master, ready to do Your will. Purify my Heart.’ Brian Robert Doerksen
May we follow the Holy Spirit’s leading, meditating on your Word, as the Lord commanded Joshua to do.
May we be empty vessels, waiting for Your overflowing favour and blessings. Your refiner’s fire purifies and cleanses our souls, enabling us to hear Your voice clearly.
Perhaps, it is in the stillness after the storm as experienced by Elijah in 1 Kings 19, or in the thunder and the fire as in Psalm 29. YOU guide and direct us. May we be hearers and doers of the Word. In Your Holy name, Lord Jesus, Amen.

Joshua 3:5, ‘And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”’
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for this wonderful promise that it’s You who wants to do amazing things in us. Our role is to set ourselves apart in order for You to be able to use us for Your Glory.
So often it’s us that want to do amazing things for You, but in our own strength we can easily burnout and get discouraged. You don’t want us to strive to please You. We just need to be willing to lay aside our agendas and self-importance, allowing You free rein to have Your way among us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Father, may Your light illuminate the eyes of our hearts, flooding us with light, until we experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling —the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His holy ones!
May our lives be an advertisement to all that You have done!
Mark our lives with holiness, righteousness and truth.
May our greatest goal be to devote ourselves to You. To dwell in Your Presence in our hearts, our thoughts focussed on You.
Therefore:
We bind ourselves to Your will and to Your ways.
We bind ourselves to Your purposes, promises, and plans for us today.
We bind our emotions and desires to that which encourages, comforts, and strengthens us in service to You.
We bind our hearts, minds and wills to Yours.
We pray every decision we make, small or large, is aligned with Your purposes. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Father, we thank You that the promise of Your word is that we have already received everything we need to empower us to live a life of devotion to You.
Our prayer, therefore, is that our hearts burn with a passion only You can satisfy, our thoughts turn often to You, our attention is caught not by the world around us, with all its cares, distractions, trials and tribulations, but by the unseen realm where You dwell in light, mystery, love and unending grace!
May that grace continuously call us to embody Your life, light and love until Christ is formed within us, our bodies instruments of worship to You, and our lives living testimonies that speak prophetically of the internal change new life has brought that sets us apart, returns us to a state of innocence, and marks us out as part of Your family.
Holy Spirit empower us to align everything that we are with Your purposes for our lives. We want to build Your Kingdom with gold, silver and precious jewels that only come from walking, and working, aligned with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Loving Heavenly Father, I dedicate myself to You, for You call me to be holy even as You are holy. Holiness is Your gift to me, and my dedication to live up to that is my gift to You.
I want to be hopelessly devoted to You! Like the psalmist, I ask You to search me and know me to see if there be any wicked way in me. As David said when he had sinned with Bathsheba, ‘You desire truth in my innermost being’.
So, I listen for Your still small voice, for You are always speaking to me. Point out the things that get in the way of intimacy with You. I choose to cooperate with You completely, yield to You absolutely, for Your desire to conform me to Your image, and You will present me faultless before our loving Father in heaven. Thank you, Precious Jesus. Amen.

Beautiful Father, You are looking for lovers, therefore You made me. Precious Father, You are a lover, You are the lover of my soul, You are looking for lovers who will worship You in spirit and in truth. Awaken in me the desire to be such a lover.
Song of Songs begins with ‘Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth’, so Jesus I choose to ‘let you’ draw me deeper and deeper into intimacy with You. Where my focus is totally taken up with your beautiful face.
Love will take me where simple Christian disciplines alone never will. Catch for me the little foxes that will spoil our vineyard. I yield to the cleansing fire of Your presence. I put You as a seal on my heart, as a shield on my arm until You, and You alone, are my magnificent obsession.
The Spirit and my soul say ‘come’. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJV,
‘Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.’
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the perfect example of a life consecrated to Your Father’s agenda. When You faced the ultimate horror of the Cross, You became our living, consecrated sacrifice.
For the joy set before You, knowing we could be with You in Heaven, You endured unimaginable suffering and pain on our behalf.
Help us Lord, with the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, to live a life worthy of our calling, and to run our race with endurance and excellence, always and only for Your glory. Amen.

Day 16 | Himat Khetia
Lord, You are the one who called me in Your Kingdom. I thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I was in total darkness bound by a religion in which I grew up, but You chose me and delivered me out of darkness into your marvellous light.
I have nothing else to return back to you but giving myself and consecrate my heart to You, Lord Jesus. I offer myself and my life; that You may guide and use me for Your glory.
Help me in my weakness. Work in me as I surrender to You, and I am willing to remove the things in my life that displease You as Your Holy Spirit leads me in this process. Let Your love reign in me. I surrender my life totally unto You.
You have bestowed Your love – I am child of God. Thank You, Father in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
