Jan 22 – Father, forgive us for the times when we have been disobedient concerning the Great Commission to ‘preach the Gospel to every creature’ by rationalizing that, ‘I don’t have the gift of evangelism’ (Mark 15:16).
Lord, I believe that we have listened to the voice of Satan who has cleverly convinced virtually the entire Body of Christ that most of us are not gifted nor qualified to share the Gospel with the lost. We bind this false mind set and ask that You set the church free from it.
May the Church, including ours, become a dedicated and liberated herald of the Gospel by word, life and with Your Spirit’s power being evidently at work among us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Jan 23 – Father, Your Spirit bestows the gift of giving (Romans 12:8), enabling specifically gifted people to greatly give. Lord, there are also many verses about giving which mean we are all commanded to give to You and Your work – not just those gifted to do so.
As we think about spiritual renewal, and also about our Kingdom building focus of acquiring a larger venue in 2024, we pray for the resources of gifting, finance and favour needed to accomplish this focus.
Those gifted in particular areas may be more effective in those areas, but as believers we are responsible to obey the commands to give that You give to us. These enablements or abilities that Your Spirit gives are developed and refined through use. ‘What you don’t use, lies dormant!’ is a good reliable admonition in this regard.
There must be a willingness to step outside our comfort zones to allow You to develop and strengthen the area of giving, and evangelism or witnessing to Jesus.
May Telford Elim become a place overflowing with people who do witness and see amazing transformations take place in many people as a result of them turning to Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. Amen.

Jan 25 – Please pray for spiritual renewal in the Limitless Youth ministry led by Pastor’s Alisha and Samuel, Shannon Ward, and all the young people Limitless are reaching.
Jan 26 – Please pray for spiritual renewal in the Thrive Young Adult ministry led by Pastor Alisha.
Jan 27 – Please pray for spiritual renewal in the Worship Team led by Steve Higgins and Pastor Leslie.
Jan 28 – Please pray for spiritual renewal in the Small Group ministry led by Steve Johnson, including the groups delivering the Bible Course, Alpha and Freedom in Christ.
