This is a new season for the church. A new eldership has been elected to serve the church. This week also sees our two new Next Generation Pastors starting, Samuel and Alisha Foentjies. The first two days are written by Adeola Allinson, the theme is, ‘Awakening the sleeping giants for Christ.’ The next five days are written by Pastor Leslie and are focussed on a New Season for the church using Ezekiel 47:1-12 as a basis.
Monday 1 March – Thank You Lord that Your anointing will be upon our new Eldership: Adeola herself, Charlotte Adjepong, Denise Gore, Sam Adjepong and Steve Higgins. Bless them richly and may they lead well under the guidance and leading of Your Spirit.
We pray that You will raise up many new missionaries and evangelists of the word. We pray and ask that You will raise up every sleeping Christian to go forth and declare what Your word commissions them to do in Matthew 28:19, ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded You. And surely I am with You always, to the very end of the age.’
Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon our nation. Equip us to fulfil the Great Commission. Bless Telford Elim, in person and online – may we have a rich anointing and see much good fruit as we preach and teach Your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Tuesday 2 March – We pray for Samuel and Alisha as they officially start with us today – may You richly bless and anoint them. We pray that it will go well with them as they serve and minister here in Telford Elim. May You use them in and through our church as part of a great awakening in our nation, that people would turn again to You, the one true God through Jesus.
‘Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn’ (Isaiah 60:1–3).
Pray for revival, restoration and reformation across the nations. Pray for a breakout of missionaries for the kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Wednesday 3 March – Father, as we take time to consider Ezekiel 47:1-12, we also look to the example of the early Church. Renewal is a wonderful concept. It speaks of a new season of energy, passion and joy. It speaks of fresh worship experiences, a deepening prayer relationship, and the removal of the weights that hold us back.
In this new season, may a spiritual renewal transform every aspect of our lives so that we will flourish in Telford Elim as You intend – so that everyone ‘really loves Jesus with all their hearts.’ In His name. Amen
Thursday 4 March – Father, as our church enters this new season, we pray that it would be a Centre for Renewal. That each of us will soberly consider how far we are stepping into Your River – to the ankle, knee, waist or are we yet swimming?
Thank You that – although it is such a scary and daunting thing to launch out in Your River – Your Spirit is the best swimming instructor there is. Just as wonderfully, He also promises to swim with us so that we need never fear getting out of our depth.
When Your Spirit and word are leading the way to where we should be going, and what we should be doing, we can be confident that amazing things will happen, and Christ exalted. Help more and more to venture deeper into Your River. In Jesus’ name and for His glory. Amen
Friday 5 March – Father, thank You that the River contains living water. This water is a life giving blessing. Its source flows from You – God Almighty and our Father. It also flows through Your Son’s Lordship, Grace and Favour – and by Your Spirit’s Presence, Power and Provision into our lives. Where the River goes it brings healing and life. May our Church be a place where the water from Your River flows out to our neighbourhood, community, Town, Borough, County, and beyond online.
Theearly Church prayed together, took communion together, studied and received Your Word together, and fellowshipped together (cf. Acts 2:42) – thus the river of life flowed through the early church. These four things gave evidence to the vibrancy of life that was present; discipleship in action – taking place as each participated and joined together in the community of faith – Your family.
Just as they were seeking to be continually filled by Your Spirit bringing boldness, power and authority into the heart of the Church – we ask for these to be gloriously and abundantly present in Telford Elim in person and online. May there be such an abundant life as we are continually filled with your Spirit; may there be an overflow bringing salvation, godliness, and holiness as we minister online to the wider society, and in person here in Telford and Shropshire. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Saturday 6 March – Father, as we continue to pray into this new season – surrendering more of our lives to Your beloved Son is a good thing to do. We pray that more will offer themselves to Jesus, His worship, service and to do His work.
Guide every aspect of the Church, its worship, life, ministry and service online and in person, in order for it to become all that You intend Telford Elim to be. We would to step into, and contain, all that a Renewal Centre should have – full of Your life giving water and living bread.
May our Utmost be for Christ’s Highest. May our Witness be to all He is. May our Testimony and Character reveal all You would have us reveal. May our Place be a Sacred space filled with all Your fullness. May our theology be alive, full of revelation, wisdom and truth, and give a sure foundation to all that motivates and inspires us to act.
May our Worship fill Telford, and beyond, with the Spirit’s presence – our Thankfulness opening the doors locked against Your Kingdom’s advance – our Praise bringing the strength of Heaven – our worship bringing countless numbers of men, women, young adults, young people and children face to face with You in Your throne room. In this new season, may many be saved, healed and delivered, sanctified, discipled and equipped, commissioned and released into Your harvest field. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Sunday 7 March – Father, a Renewal Centre bears much good fruit. It is a productive place. It is busy bringing Your Rest, Quietness and Stillness to the souls of men, women, young people and children.
It is a House of Salvation – a House of Spiritual Worship – of Spiritual Power – of Intercessory Prayer – of Prophetic Relevance – of Apostolic Authority – of Pastoral Care and Oversight – of Successful Evangelism – of Biblical Instruction – and Sows the Seeds of Societal Reformation.
May our Church grow and develop into such a place. May my life, laid on the altar to Jesus, be an offering of all that I am – a faith-filled, positive, blessed and acceptable offering in this new season. Take my life and mould and shape me into a useful implement in Your hand and will. In Jesus’ name and for His glory. Amen
