Feb 12 – Father, no matter what is at work causing a person to feel far away from You, Jesus is able, and His blood effective once that person turns to Him for help. You are calling people to surrender to Jesus, to confess any sin, and of their need of mercy, help and grace.
Jesus loves to bring us back to You. CSB, ‘2:13But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.’ Thank You for His great mercy and grace all based in the victory of Calvary and the resurrection.
Holy Spirit, we would to partner with You, to be led by You, to be anointed by You in this Kingdom work of bringing people near to Father through Jesus. After all, You are the Helper who is here to lead us in Christ’s truth and ways.
We pray for a great harvest of men, women, young adults, young people and children through Telford Elim’s people and ministries filled to overflowing with your fullness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feb 13 – Father, the blood of Jesus is central to the battle with ‘self’ within. In Christ, we are able to stand on Your promises, but also to apply the principles of forgiveness, reconciliation and redemption – all through the blood of Jesus.
1 John 1:7, CSB, ‘If we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.’ As we walk in the light our fellowship with each other is enhanced, and our sins are cleansed by His blood. Hallelujah!
We ask that many will walk in the light in and through Telford Elim, in person and online, be cleansed, and our fellowship sweet. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feb 14 – Father, Jesus’ blood is also a major weapon in our armoury. Revelation 12:11, CSB, ‘They conquered him [the accuser of the brothers and sisters – Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; for they did not love their lives to the point of death.’
We could also say, my paraphrase, ‘they did not love their lower ‘self’ life more than Jesus and the higher spiritual life to which He was calling them.’
On this St Valentine’s Day, we pray for a purification of our thinking and understanding of what it means to be in relationship and in love so it is aligned with Your higher view on them. We would not to build our lives on the world’s ways, but to build them on Christ and His word.
Holy Spirit, teach us how to apply the blood of Jesus in all areas of our lives as an aid in spiritual warfare – in the breakthrough of the Spirit. You call us to a new place of surrender and commitment to Jesus and His ways.
We pray for breakthrough so hundreds are led into this higher spiritual life to which You are calling us through Telford Elim. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feb 15 – Father, whenever we step into a situation that we know is a confrontation with the powers of darkness – we ask for Your covering, presence and protection.
Holy Spirit, guide us so we can effectively plead the merits and covering of Jesus’ blood.
Lead us in prayer so we can pray effectively into the situation beforehand. If we are married and our spouse is a Christian, lead us in how to pray also with them about the situation, if applicable.
If it is a confidential situation, teach us how to pray while keeping confidentiality. We can pray effectively into a situation without having to know any of the details.
We would to seek Your face about the spiritual battles we face, praying for Your presence to be with us, Your guidance in it, and Your peace ruling in our hearts and minds. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feb 16 – Father, we seek the Holy Spirit’s ongoing fullness. His power, authority and boldness are essential as we seek to live for Jesus, and to become victorious in the battle within.
Thank You that Your Holy Spirit changes situations, but He will never do for us that which You call us to do on Christ’s behalf. He expects us to do that which Jesus calls us to do. We ask for His sanctifying grace, His help to do the work You call us to.
We say yes to Your call, and are prepared to step out in faith in obedience to it.
As we face some of the barriers to maturing in faith, to overcoming ‘self’ within, and to stepping out as You call us to do following Jesus – we confess this is hard.
We hunger and thirst for righteousness, we step up to engage in the battle with spiritual darkness, the world, Satan and ourselves within. We humble ourselves before You, and pray for the grace and knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding to do so in Christ and in step with Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feb 17 – Father, thank You for the presence, peace and power of Your Holy Spirit. Walking in step with Him helps us to take the ground You call us to take. We acknowledge that the testing and establishment of that new, righteous place can be hard and long. Thank You for Your covenant commitment to us as this process happens.
We think we have advanced, have grown, have won the victory of intercession and prayer only to find ourselves giving way. The process of turning ground taken into ground that is gained and becomes ours under Your authority and divine decree, is an important component in the spiritual battle.
Once gained, it is ours and we can stand confident that You will be powerfully present with us in that ground for as long as Your purposes decree. Holy Spirit teach us, guide us and go powerfully with us into this new place. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feb 18 – Father, Your word is powerful in this battle within. Is there a verse that the Holy Spirit brings to mind that is Your Sword of the Spirit for this situation or setting? This is a good question to ask.
Grant the sensitivity and listening skills to be able to discern Your word in and for each step in this journey of faith You call us to. Anoint us to wield the sword of the Spirit effectively and well.
We plead the merits and protection of the blood of Jesus over our lives in this battle with the forces of darkness, ‘self’ within, the world and Satan – the cross of Jesus and His resurrection are the basis of our confidence.
We also plead the merits and protection of the blood of Jesus over those we are in close relationship with, are responsible for, and everything that is ours. Thank You for such a wonderful and effective covering. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
