Prayer

‘Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down, It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the centre of your life’ (Philippians 4:6-7).

Prayer is a very important part of the church life and underpins all we do. It builds a stronger relationship between us and God. We have prayer in our church services,on Tuesday mornings 7-7:30am, in the Luke 10:19 meeting and within the Life Groups. We also have an Hour of Prayer every other Thursday morning (9:30-10:30am) in the church.

There is a large Church Prayer Group who respond to requests for prayer sent round by text. This group has seen some amazing answers to prayer. The prayers are kept confidential and it is a wonderful way of praying for a wide range of things throughout the week.

‘Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live’ (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

The weekly prayer letter helps to focus our minds in a particular way and varies from week to week. There is also the chance to send a prayer request, enabling us to be able to support you
