Luke 10:19 Service

The 'Luke 10:19 service' is our Tuesday evening prayer time in Church. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, 'Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents & scorpions, & over all the power of the enemy, & nothing shall by any means hurt you.'

This time focuses much more on spiritual warfare. It includes prayer in tongues, worship, & several Bible readings; it reflects a prayer model devised by the Luke 18 Project. It's based on the Lord's prayer and is called the up~out~in model.

Basically there are three sections:

a) upward prayer acknowledging God for who He is, His character, praise & adoration.

b) outward prayer focused on community, outreach, the lost etc

c) inward prayer for church ministries, direction, finances etc In between each section change is a short time of worship which doesn't have to be singing but could incorporate the scriptural readings etc. Importantly this leaves room for the Spirit to move & enough structure for effective prayer but also for freedom & liberty. We do pray that this focus will lead to more spiritual power & authority in the Church. In Jesus' name. Amen
